Korean Dramas have been a hit on the global entertainment industry, and has made an impact and influence among other shows and towards its audience. K-dramas are well known throughout, whether its a show about conspiracy and pursuit in a certain ancient Korean dynasty; or a cheesy, romantic comedy in modern Korea, these shows have its way of enticing its audience making them root for such actors and actresses. From The Moon Embracing The Sun (2012)  to  The King: Eternal Monarch (2020)  there are a number of famous K-dramas and most of it are memorable because of the scene where it took place and the decent acting. With K-drama hits such as Goblin (2016),  Crash Landing On You (2019), and Squid Game (2021), They have created a dedicated fanbase across the world who do not only appreciate its actors and actresses, but also appreciate the beauty of Korea.

Most of fans could easily recognize or even name the places where the show took its filming. A lot of fans would dream to take the opportunity to recreate iconic scenes from their favorite shows, or take the opportunity to post something neat on their social media platform. For people who are not just a Korean TV show enthusiasts, but people who just like to travel, visiting an iconic filming destination and have the chance to take a shot and recreate your favorite scene is a big treat.

1. Cheonggyecheon Stream

Cheonggyecheon Stream is located within the heart of Seoul. It is a stream where often times designed with themed decorations depending on the season, event, and holiday. You'll rarely find Cheonggyecheon Stream a dull place to view because even at night there are entertainment and decorative lights for show. It is also a perfect for romantic lovely walks. 

Cheonggyecheon Stream is also a famous filming spot for K-Dramas such as: Vincenzo (2021), You Raise Me Up (2021), True Beauty (2020), Lovestruck in the City (2020), Do You Like Brahms? (2020), Find Me in Your Memory (2020), and more.

2. Coex Aquarium

Coex Aquarium is an underrated tourist spot in Korea. It also considered as one of the biggest aquariums of Korea, housing more than 40,000 various sea creatures with more than 180 display tanks. It always a neat treat to walk around the aquarium with its breathtaking view of exotic, rare, and unique sea creatures. The Coex Aquarium is a perfect place to visit for kids and adults! 

Coex has also been featured on K-Drama shows on I Can Hear Your Voice (2013) and One Fine Day (2006).

3. Gwanghwamun Square

Also known as Gwanghwamun Plaza, known for its historic background and its statue of the legendary Korean royalties: Admiral Yi Sunshin and King Sejong. This place has served as one of the main tourist attractions spots, even though the place when through a renovation on 2022, it still maintains its historical figure. Located near Gyeongbokgung Palace, the plaza is popular for museums, open-air markets, cultural performances, and historic monuments.

There have been also some known K-drama shows that featured Gwanghwamun Square as their filming spot, using the historic moments as part of the show in The Devil Judge (2021), A Piece of Your Mind (2020), The King: Eternal Monarch (2020), The Great Show (2019) , and other shows.

4. Gyeongbokgung Palace

Gyeongbokgung Palace is arguably, by most travelers and fans, one of the most well known tourist spot and filming destinations of Korea. Not only that its a well known palace, it is also one of the most beautiful and largest of the palaces. It may not look so historically comapred to ancient palaces in the provinces of Korea, but its magnificence still served and featured in a number of old or classic K-drama shows. 

The palace has served as a filming location for many historical K-dramas such as: Kingdom (2019), The Last Empress (2018), The Moon Embracing the Sun (2012), Goong (2006) , and other historical shows.

5. Hantangang Skybridge

 
Located at Pocheon, 50 meters above the Hatangang River canyon, Hatangang Skybridge is an ideal place for the best, undisrupted photoshoot. You can take the best sunset photos here without the sight of buildings, just the golden sky and the golden sun.

Not only this skybridge is famed for its natural beauty, it is also famed as a filming destination of one of the most popular K-drama show Crash Landing on You (2019) and What's Wrong with Secretary Kim (2018)

6. Jumunjin Beach

Jumunjin Beach is known for its scenic coastal view, its fine sand, and pristine blue waters. Not only that but there are other fun activities and attractions near the beach. There are numerous spots around the beach perfect for extraordinary photos, and fancy restaurants offering authentic Korean delicacies; but most of all, to all K-pop fans, they can take photos of the recreated BTS bus stop from their album You Never Walk Alone

But majority of travelers or fans, are here to recreate one of the most iconic scene from Goblin (2016) , also known as Guardian: The Lonely and Great God. There are other famous K-drama shows that featured Jumunjin Beach as a famous filming spot in  Racket Boys (2021),  More Than Friends (2020), and Hotel King (2014).

7. Lotte World

Lotte World is one of Koreas most famous theme parks. Filled with numerous thrilling rides, attractive buildings, exciting parades, museums, and other fancy facilities, Lotte World is an ideal place for family or friends activities. It can also be an ideal place for a romantic date. Lotte World can be visited in ANY season, whether it may be snowing or rainy or sunny, it will always be fun to wander around Lotte World.

Not only people seek for the thrilling activities in Lotte World, but they also want to recreate or re-live their favorite scene from a K-drama called  Business Proposal (2022). And there are other famous K-dramas that feature Lotte World such as:  True Beauty (2020), Love Alarm (2019), Hyde Jekyll, Me (2015), Stairway to Heaven (2003) , and others.

8. Namsan Tower

Namsan Tower, also known as N Seoul Tower, is one of Korea's highlighted tourist spots for couples. An ideal place to view beautiful sunsets, to view snow falls, and to view the leaves fall with someone beside you. The view can be more grand in visiting Namsan Tower's observatory level which is at the very top of the tower, where you get to see a unique scene of Seoul. 

Namsan Tower is a known filming destination for most romance/romance comedy K-dramas. Fans and couples can take their opportunity to recreate their favorite romantic scenes from famous K-dramas such as: Itaewon Class (2020), True Beauty (2020),  The Legend of the Blue Sea (2016), My Love from the Star (2013) ) ) ),  Boys Over Flowers (2009)  and other romantic K-dramas.

9. Seoul Land
 
Seoul Land may not be as fancy or as magnificent as Lotte World or Everland, but it sure is considered as one of the most nostalgic theme parks in Korea and it does bring a lot of memories through its classic structures. Seoul Land is also Korea's FIRST theme park, built in 1987, it has gone through a lot of improvements and renovations through the years, and as of now, it will not only serve more than just a nostalgic visit but also serve a memorable experience.

As an old theme park, Seoul Land has also been featured on famous K-drama shows. If you watch  When My Love Blooms (2002)  you'll see parts of the old Seoul Land on that year. But as Seoul Land continues to renovate and improve there have been a number of K-dramas that featured this place such as: The Secret Life of My Secretary (2019), The Smile Has Left Your Eyes (2018), Strong Girl Bong-soon (2017), She Was Pretty (2015) , and other shows.

10. Deoksugung Palace Stonewall Walkway
 
Korea has gained more popularity as a tourist attraction, especially when famous K-dramas such as Goblin (2019) feature such scenic places. A number of fans or travelers visit Korea to take the opportunity to either recreate their scenes from their favorite K-drama or take the most scenic pictures for themselves. K-drama, along with its beloved actors and actresses, has made ordinary tourists spots into something more special to its fans. A great example would be the Deoksugung Palace Stonewall Walkway, while it may just be an ordinary spacious walkway for most citizens, to fans it is something more memorable and a neat treat to be in it. The walkway is a beautiful place to take pictures on, especially on autumn and spring, where the orange color of the leaves accompanied by its foliage create a beautiful scene, or where cherry blossoms bloom around the walkway.
