ALL ABOUT KBS (KOREAN BROADCASTING SYSTEM) 




Korean Broadcasting System,
began broadcasting radio broadcasts for the first time in Korea as
Gyeongseong Broadcasting Station in 1927 and was relaunched
as Seoul Central Broadcasting in 1947 after liberation.
 

TV broadcasting began in 1961, and in 1973, Korea Broadcasting Corporation
established a public broadcasting system that continues to this day. KBS has
4 channels of terrestrial TV broadcasting (HD 1·2TV·UHD 1·2TV),
2 channels of satellite TV broadcasting (KBS World, KBS KOREA),
7 channels of radio broadcasting, 4 channels of terrestrial DMB broadcasting
 and my K, etc. We are running a new media service.

The headquarters is located in Yeouido, Seoul, and operates broadcasting stations in 9
major cities and 9 major cities across the country. there is KBS operates with TV license
fees and advertising revenue, but to strengthen public service, 1TV and 1Radio have not
advertised since October 1994. For the promotion of culture and art, KBS has a KBS Hall
with over 1,600 seats, and operates the KBS Symphony Orchestra and the KBS Korean
Traditional Music Orchestra. In addition, we are working hard to solve difficult viewing
problems in mountainous and island areas, and we are continuing research and business
to lead next-generation broadcasting services and provide service benefits free of charge.
