The travel association is requesting further assistance from state insurers like the Social Security System, PhilHealth, and PAGIBIG
in maximizing the availment of benefits for PTAA members and other stakeholders in the travel industry who may currently be suffering
from financial constraints due to either limited or shuttered business.

“You can just imagine the financial burden of having to pay off these otherwise usual items, without actual income,”
Taylan said. “We are hoping to give tourism industry workers a bit of relief kahit sa simpleng mga bayarin kadabuwan.”

were allowed here in the PH, there was a big increase in our bookings, and reservations when it comes to flights and hotels.

 October 2022  : During the height of the pandemic, Taylan spearheaded Bigas Mula sa Puso where she distributed a total of 300 sacks of rice as a help to her fellow tourism workers,
 hoping that this simple act of kindness can spark joy and enkindle hope in the seemingly endless dark time. Later on,
PTAA also followed suit with a similar project called “Bigas Kalinga sa Panahon ng Pandemya”
which distributed sacks of rice all over NCR and the Rizal area.

July 2023 : MANILA, Philippines — An upcoming travel sale expo has been launched to boost the volume of tourism business in the Philippines beyond the pre-pandemic level
as the travel industry continues to recover from the COVID-19 border restrictions. 

Travel Sale Expo 2023, spearheaded by event chair Michelle Taylan, former Philippine Travel Agencies Association president, was unveiled in a grand launch held Pasig City last July.
This was attended by several local and international travel business giants and country ambassadors.
